My Ultimate WishList for 2011

At first I wanted to have a white iPhone 4s until I saw Samsung's Galaxy SII. It was love at first sight! I've been bugging Sweets for months already, telling him I really like the phone, I wish to own a white Galaxy S2, I wish I could buy it for Christmas and so on....

So there...for now I have to keep on wishing....

Toodles!

Welcome to the Big 3-0!

I always look forward for December, its my most favorite month of the year and I think every body else' too! Aside from having Holidays like Christmas and New Year, what makes it more special is because its my birth month...I'm a December baby...yeah!

I have a lot of things...reasons...people to be thankful for. The Lord continued to shower me with enormous blessings for the past 30 years. I have a wonderful Mommy and Daddy who loves me unconditionally and played a very important role in my life. If it weren't for them I won't be here. I am proud and happy with how they raised me and my sister. Yes, we are a small family but LOVE is very big in our home. :) Even if Daddy is already gone, he is still in our hearts and we still feel his Love and we know he is always with us...watching over us. Aside from family, I am also surrounded with trustworthy, loyal and caring Friends who've been with me for more than a decade, you guys know who you are. And of course, office mates and colleagues who became my friends along the way...you see..I am very blessed because wherever I go, I always meet new people with good souls and I look forward for more years of friendship with each and every one of them. I also have my Sweets - my better half, I am truly blessed for having him in my life. He's one of the most supportive and patient person I have ever met and he always brings out the best in me.

To my fellow sassy bloggers, FB friends, classmates and colleagues and for those that I forgot to mention...Thank you for making my day extra special. My 30th was special not because of the gifts, but because of the friendship, kindness and thoughtfulness that you've shared with me. Again, thank you! Cheers! :)

Age is just a number...I may be 30 but in my ♥ I will always be forever 16♥♥♥ naks! ☺

PS. To my Bru's  (you know who you are) we'll celebrate my 30th on our post Christmas party so...ready with your gifts okay? hahaha Love you! ♥

Missha Goodies

In my previous post, I mentioned that my sister went out of the country for a short vacation right? But I forgot to tell you the goodies she brought home with her for me. She told me that when she was at a mall she saw a huge Missha store and because she remembered me repeatedly telling her before that I would love to try Missha BB creams because I've been hearing a lot of great reviews about it...she immediately went inside and explored the store...she told me that there were a lot of BB creams to choose from and she didn't know where to start looking hahaha! So anyway dear lovelies, here's the Missha goodies she got for me. :)

Missha Perfect Cover BB cream in No. 23 ♥ The Style Lucid Nail Polish in RD04 ♥ Missha BB Boomer sample ♥ Time Revolution Immortal Youth Serum sample

I will have to try the product first before I do a review for you....I usually try the product for 2-3 months before I could do a review just to make sure the product really works and I usually give my skin the so called " transition/adjustment" period. :)

How bout you Sweeties, have you tried any Missha products already? And if yes, how was it? Please do let me know as I love reading your inputs :)

Do We Really Need to have a Good Credit Score?

If you are one of my loyal readers, most of you know that I work in a BPO company for almost nine years already and I have transferred from one department to another, you all know that it is very stressful working in call centers and from all of the departments that I had worked with, I can definitely tell you that the most challenging role was when I moved to Fraud department. For those who do not know what we exactly do here, we simple handle any type of calls related to Identity theft, Stolen Credit cards and unauthorized charges; all these three all leads to one thing, it could give you bad credit.  I think people should be very wary with their credit rating, because it plays an important role in our finances. Companies these days would check a person’s credit scores first before they approve your credit cards, loans, just like Mortgage companies; they want to make sure you have the means and ability to pay. Even in terms of employment, most Employers would check the applicant’s credit scores and use it as a basis in their assessment.

People should keep it in mind that keeping a good credit score can help us keep track of our finances but I do understand that most of the time we tend to be very busy that we forget to check it regularly, but the good thing is that there are a lot of sites that offers free credit score that would help us manage not just our credits but also gives us online security against identity theft.

I hope I was able to help you understand the importance of having a good credit score. I guess that is all for now!

Have a beautiful week!

Moon Cake Festival

Today we are celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival which is also known as MoonCake Festival or Chinese Lantern Festival. This holiday is celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese families. The festival is usually held every 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar so that would be around September or October therefore, this year it is today, September 12. However, in Hongkong, they officially celebrate it the day after the Festival which would be tomorrow.

Here in the Philippines, the festival is very popular among Filipino Chinese families. One way of celebrating this festive holiday is to have a family and friends gathering, play the famous Dice game and eat mooncake afterwards.  But don't ask me for the details of the dice game since it has been more than 10 years since I last played the game, but I guarantee you it's pretty fun and exciting. :) But anyway, what I truly enjoy during the holiday are the Mooncakes!

Mooncake is a Chinese pastry wherein it has a thick yummy filling of lotus seed paste, then in the middle part inside it contains a yolk of a salted duck eggs which symbolizes full moon.

A few weeks ago my sister went to Hongkong for a short vacation and I am happy and pleased that she bought home some ♥Mooncakes♥
♥ Gold Leaf Moon Cake ♥
Mini White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with Whole Egg Yolk and Gold Foil
Mooncake L-O-V-E ♥♥♥

How bout you, do you like Mooncake? Do you celebrate it too?

Happy Mooncake Festival, Sweeties!

Blog Awards

Beautiful Monday Morning Sweeties! Today I would like to share a few blog awards. These are long overdue and I am sorry its been too long before I was able to blog about it, but hey, better late than never, right? So, without further adieu, I present to you my blog awards...tada!

I would like to thank Nancy of The Dark Side of Beauty and Des of Chic & Sassy Homemaker for awarding me these blogger awards, I really do appreciate having this award and I am an avid follower of both blogs that is why it is an honor to be awarded by two great bloggers.

I got two Versatile Blogger awards from both gorgeous ladies.
Both awards - Stylish Blogger and One Lovely Blog awards given by Des.

Now, here's the fun part. Do not forget to mention the person who gave you the award and of course please link her/him back. In accepting these awards, you have to share 6 facts about yourself and share these to other bloggers who deserves to have these awards.

1.  I super Love dogs, in fact I have 8:
Roxy - She's a Rottweiler and she is the sweetest of all and she only listens to me bwahaha!
Duchess - She's also a Rottweiler and she is Roxy's little girl but I guess we can no longer say she's little LOLs. She's the curious one, whenever you touch something or you do something she will always snoop around the things you've touched when you're no longer around.

Cotton - She's a Japanese Spitz and she is so white as a cotton that is why we called her cotton.
Snow White - She's half Japanese Spitz and half Maltese but she looks more of a maltese. She's the energetic one, she always jump, run, jump, run, jump and so on...She just can't get tired.
Bubbles - She's a Lhasa Apso and I call her the Jumper. She jumps a lot and she can jump really really high..and she loves to eat Cornflakes and roasted chicken.
Chico - He's a half Lhasa Apso and a  half Shih Tzu. He's the jealous and moody one. He can really be sweet but he wants to be the only one who have your attention. If you play with the other dogs, he'll get jealous and he will just sit at the corner of the room facing the wall, even if you call him he will just pretend to not hear you at all.
Ernie - He's a mongrel (askal) but he's the OC one. He doesn't like to get his paws wet but he loves to take a bath, he is a very picky eater too. He loves to eat dog food, rice and  sinigang. He hates carrots and cabbage.
Mallows - She is the newest member of the family. She's only a month old and she is Bubble's little pup. She is a mix breed of Lhasa Apso (Bubbles) and a Shih Tzu. She's they playful one and she loves to lick feet and slippers. Her name is mallows because she reminds me of chocolate mallows.
I wish I have all of their pictures to show you but I don't have them saved in my PC right now. :( I only have Chico and Bubbles) I  will just show it to you all some other time, okay?
Chico

Bubbles

2.  I am a huge Old School Rock and Roll fan. I guess it is because of Daddy's influence. He is a rocker! \m/

3.  This is going to be a big revelation: Way back in Highschool I was a CAT Officer. I know I don't look like one and if I'm going to tell some of my friends who didn't know me since high school I know they will NEVER believe me.  Sorry guys but I really have to cover my face with an apple since I really look hideous with the uniform...I seriously hate it. I can't believe I have a copy of the picture too! I guess I have to burn this afterwards LOL

4.  I love anything Corn - Corncob, popcorns, kernel corns...I love them! But popcorns are my favorite :)
5.  I cannot drive wearing slippers or any flat shoes, I need to wear anything with heels probably around one inch and above but not lower than that.

6. Some people are hooked on watching Asian Dramas but for me its different --its watching Anime. I am a huge anime fan. And my top two favorites are: Naruto and Bleach. I never fail to download their new episodes every week...they're really addicting. I even have a collection of Naruto action figures hihihi.

And now I am passing all of these awards to the following great bloggers:
♥ Aileen of Fruitful Voyage
♥ Angel of  Angelamhiere's Little Heaven
♥ Sugar of Whimsical Whatnots & Whatever
♥ Locke of My Beauty Love
♥ Dang of NeuroChiq's Nook
♥ Sey of 14th Street
♥ Maggie of A Beautiful Rhapsody

So there you have it ladies! You all deserve it. Enjoy! :)

Punk Rock Brushies :)

As of last week  (a month now) I am now a proud owner of Charm Travel Pro v3 Brush set. It was really hard for me to decide if I should buy this set instead of The Charm Pro Brush but because of the cute hot pink/black design of the brushes I can't help but give in to temptation. The color combination is really cute it has a girly girl feel but with an edge -  more like a punk rock princess theme. Somehow it reminded me of my very first blog.  That is why I'm calling these babies - Punk Rock Brushies :)

Everybody has a weakness...If Superman's weakness is Kryptonite, I have one too! Chinadoll's weakness is anything P-I-N-K

I might do a review about these brushes but let's see if time permits it. But just to let you all know, these brushes are really worth it and I am loving every single brush in fact I'm using it everyday. The stippling brush is my favorite among all of the brushes and I have been using it to apply BB creams since I'm not into liquid foundation and speaking of BB cream, I have a new favorite BB cream and I would love to tell you all about it...soon. :)

The Curly Chinadoll

When I was in grade school my mom would always have my hair permed she said it would make my hair look thick since I have thin hair  and I hated it! And when I say "Hate" I say it conviction, I look hideous and don't ask me for pictures because I will never post any...not in a million years well maybe except for Halloween.

Before I graduated from elementary, finally I had my hair cut and  bid goodbye to curly hair, I even promised my self to never have my hair permed ever again. And boy I was wrong, I started curling my hair again when I started to work but this time not with the old fashioned way of hair perm but with the use of my secret weapon - curling iron. I owned 3 curling irons, two already retired (due to over usage..i guess? lol) and the last one is still with me...still good as new but I have to admit, using curling iron takes a lot of time and it can really damage your hair that is why I also stopped using it.My hair strands are very thin and colored so my hair is really prone to breakage.  I have considered having my hair permed again but I know I will not get that soft bouncy curls via cold wave, the only way to achieve that "to die for curls" is through Digital Perm.

My sister had her Digiperm experience a few months and  I envy her soft bouncy curls. However, it is really expensive it costs her 5000PHP ( approximately $110 - $112). I have been seriously thinking about this for months already and I think my wish was granted. I received a text message from Tony and Jackey stating that they are having a promo for Loreal Digital Perm for 2000PHP (approximately $45) good for 15 days only. Good news right?

I guess it is time to say....

Did you like it? How about you, do you love curling your hair? Would you consider having a Digital Perm too? Let me know Sweet Loves!

Stay tuned dearies, I might just blog about my digiperm experience in the coming days....

Be gentle with the comments since this was my first time hihihi :) Hope you like it :)

Shorter and fuller bangs: Yay or Nay?

I have always had my bangs but  I always use a little clip to keep the hair off my face. But right now, I want something different so I cut my side swept bangs shorter - just the right level with my brows and it was thicker than before.
Love it or hate it?

What kept me busy?

I am really sorry for lack of updates for the past months…I know I've been missing and was not able to give you any heads up. But I am really trying to squeeze in a little time to update this blog. You might be wondering what kept me busy.

Most of you know that I really love and enjoy baking. I do bake and accept orders but I have to admit that there’s still so much for me to learn. And one of the major things that I really need to improve on is decorating cakes. Last November 2010 I have decided to take my baking skills to the next level I’ve enrolled in a Master Cake Decorating (Wilton Method) Class. Unfortunately, at that time there was no available class and I still have to wait for months before they re-open the class again. At that time there was an on going Fondant class and they have to finish the course before the Master class re-opens.

To cut the long story short, I started the class last March 16; it was a 10 half day session and classes are held once a week. And because of this I have to move my days off from Saturday-Sunday to Wednesday – Sunday, since my class is every Wednesday. I was a little hard for me to keep up with this schedule because every Wednesday we have a call meeting at work, so even though it is my day off, I still have to report to work just to attend the meeting with the client then go home after. If you’re working for a BPO company, you really have to be very flexible with time. I guess we really need to do little sacrifices…It is very tiring but I assure you it’s all worth it!

Here are some of the pictures during the class. (Photos courtesy of  Mrs. Galang’s Kitchen

I was able to finish the course last week and on our graduation day we have to make a 3 tier wedding cake and we should come up with our own design. This is it guys...I'm really happy and I guess I can say that I am on the right track...this is what I really want and I am truly happy that I am starting to make things happen.

How bout you guys? Did you do something recently that might just help you reach your goals or dreams little by little? Remember dearies...one step at a time! :)  Here I come, Advance Cake Decorating Class!

St. Patrick's Nails

Today is St. Patrick's Day so why not wear something g-r-e-e-n! So for today, I would like to share this month's favorite nail polish which was just recently added to my TFS Nail Polish collection. I bought this last week which is just in time for St. Patrick's day celebration.

Originally, the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue. Over the years the colour green and its association with Saint Patrick's day grew.[4] Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century.[5] He is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day.[6][7] In the 1798 rebellion, in hopes of making a political statement, Irish soldiers wore full green uniforms on 17 March in hopes of catching public attention.[4] The phrase "the wearing of the green", meaning to wear a shamrock on one's clothing, derives from a song of the same name.

How bout you guys, how do you celebrate St. Patrick's day? Do wear something green too?
