Edward and Bella

Mood: Happy Happy Happy
Music: River flows in you - Yiruma

I just can't get enough of Edward and Bella, in just 5 days I have finished reading the first and second book. I'm already on my 3rd book well ummm...halfway already ;). Their love story is so so so addicting. And I am all giddy for the upcoming movie.

If you're not familiar with the story, here's the summary of the first book...

Bella Swan or Isabella Marie Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie and to allow her mother, Renée, to travel with her new husband, Phil, a baseball player. After moving to Forks, Bella finds herself involuntarily drawn to a mysterious, handsome or should I say beautiful boy, Edward Cullen, who at first was trying to avoid her, but later found out that he is a vampire who drinks animal blood as opposed to human blood. They both fell in love. Everything seemed perfect for them until the Cullen's had an unexpected visitor of 3 vampires (James, Laurent and Victoria) who are drawn to drink Bella's blood. Bella escapes to Phoenix, Arizona because they thought it will be safer for here there. She was tricked into confronting James, the tracker vampire who wishes to kill her. Edward was able to follow her just in time to save her and take her home to Forks.

It's a modern day Romeo - Juliet love story which I'm sure most of you will love.

Hope you'll like the trailer.

Sweet day to all!

Skyscraper yeah!

Mood: sleepy
Music: All the things she said - Tatu

Do you remember the cookbook I was telling you about? I have it finally! Few days after our shopping spree, I've decided to buy the book after payday. I realized that, all the cheesecake recipe that are in the book are actually worth it and I would never find any other cheesecake cookbook that have all the yummy and unique cheesecake recipe. The cookbook has a lot to offer me, it has a lot of yummy treats in store for me. So there, after deciding on whether to buy or not to buy the book, I immediately sent an IM to Sweets and told him that I will buy the book and ummmm and....and.....if he can go get it for me before he reports to work that night ( because work on a graveyard shift). He asked me if he can just do it the next day since it was our day off the next day but, I insisted to buy it immediately. And because Sweets knew that I was so super duper excited about the book, that night, he left early just to go to the mall and buy me my precious cookbook!

This is my new favorite book - Junior's Cheesecake Cookbook. The book features their 50-To-Die-for recipes for New York Style Cheesecake. Junior's is a very popular restaurant in New York and their specialty? - Cheesecakes. They've been baking cheesecakes since the 1950s, over the years their bakers have perfected it all from the ingredients, techniques, and of course the recipes too. Most of the secrets and techniques are all in this book. Now, let me ask you. Do you think buying this book was all worth it?

I've never been to the US so I have never tried their popular New York Style cheesecake. And, you wouldn't know if the recipes in the book are really yummylicious unless you've tried it yourself. So, last November 1, I tried to bake one of their SkyScraper Cheesecakes recipe.

My new masterpiece! Lemon Custard Cheesecake Ü
-I actually made some changes with the recipe so that I could call it my Own Recipe! This is my own version of Junior's Lemon Coconut Cheesecake. It's just mouthwatering...yummy!

What made this a unique from all other cheesecakes is because it it is a cake within a cake! This is a two layered cake. The first layer is a traditional home made cake, then enhanced them with rich, thick, creamy layer of original New York style cheesecake. This type of cakes are two day affairs. The cheesecake is baked on the first day and frozen overnight, the put together with the cake layer the following day. It takes a lot of work, patience and love but hey, it's worth the wait!

Till next time, S-w-e-e-t Day to all!

Bonding Time

Mood: happy and in love
Music: Thunder - Boys like Girls

Last month me and Sweets had our bonding moment that is Shopping. While me and Sweets are holding hands while walking (hihihi my kilig moment), I saw National Bookstore, then I remembered the cookbook I was planning on buying I'm not sure if it was a year or 6 months ago...but anyway, since we were on our shopping mode, I told him if we can go to NBS since I want to check if they have the particular cookbook I was looking for. I was able to find one, and it was the only stock they have left. Unfortunately, when I looked at the price tag I have no choice but to return the book in the shelf, it was way too expensive for me. If I really wanted to, I can still buy the book but I won't be able to buy any other stuff, coz you see me and Sweets have decided to limit the cash we have to spend. We made an agreement to only spend 1,600 PHP each. So there, I have to give it up. I can't have it....yes, I can't have it.

After we left the bookstore, while H-H-W-S (holding hands while strolling) at the mall, I just can't get the book out of my head until, we passed by So Fab, and there I saw the cute Pink Shoes or sandal or whatever you want to call it anyway it's still a footwear. I was happy again =) And what made me happier is that Sweets liked the shoes too! So, I'm happier times two!

It was a blast! I had a great day off plus what made it super special is get to spend it with Sweets. We had a fully loaded Italian Lunch, yes it was fully loaded; I got me my candy colored headband as you can see in the picture I actually got a dozen of them but those 3 are my favorite colors, I got me new shoes, new shirt, I helped Sweets buy his stuff, and lastly Strawberry and Creme Frappe!

Sweet day to all!

Welcome Chico

Who would have known that our precious Bubbles was pregnant! Yes, pregnant! She always had her regular visit at the Pet Clinic nearby our subdivision after the stud service to check if by chance she got pregnant, but the Vet said that she was not. It was just "fats" because every time the Vet would touch her tummy to check, she said that she could not feel anything and possibly it was just fats. So there, we got convinced that she's not preggy at all, we didn't even bother to try ultrasound because that was just too costly. So anyway last October 23 around 3 a.m. Bubbles gave birth to 2 cute little puppies. One male which is the brownish black one, and the other was a female with white spots. But unfortunately Strawberry the female one died after 5 hours. It seemed like she was a premature pup because she was so tiny and she was the weak one while Chocolate, the male pup was the bigger one and very active. If you're wondering who came up with the name Chocolate and Strawberry well blame my sister. I dunno what's gotten into her but haller! Chocolate! I don't like it so I contested that we have to think of a cuter name. Chocolate is fine but the name reminds me of a local gay actor. Good thing I was able to convince her to change the name that's why she came up with the name Chico. I still don't like the name but, majority wins right? Mommy and Sheela loved the name, so I have no choice but to agree as well. I took a shot with my phone and here he is.....Chico the fatty puppy Ü
This is Chico @ 2 weeks
