The Aloe Magic

Hair fall has always been my problem for years. I have a fine straight hair, so if I regularly use a conditioner, my hair would look flat and limp. The human body has its own renewal process. As the hair falls out, new hair will grow replacing the ones lost. But in some cases, the cycle becomes fast which is not quite normal. There are also different factors that contributes to rapid Hair fall problems and Stress is a major factor.

So a couple of months ago, I did my little assignment and googled for the home remedy for thinning hair. I found a lot of treatment suggestions but I narrowed them to three.

1. Fresh Coconut Milk ~ Just massage into the scalp and hair then leave it for half hour then rinse with warm water. You can do this 3 times a week. I haven't tried this yet since its too messy and I don't have time to go to the market to buy this.

2. Virgin Coconut Oil ~ After bath (preferable before you go to bed), apply VCO into damp hair, then massage your scalp for a minute or two then cover it with shower cap for at least an hour then rinse. For best result, leave it overnight. You can do this everyday or once/twice a week. I'm doing this regularly and it works magic. Ever since I used VCO, I don't have to use conditioner since my hair is already soft, shiny and manageable. Its even better than using a regular conditioner that contains harmful chemicals. (I use the same brand, as seen in the picture)

3. Aloe Vera Gel ~ Apply the aloe vera gel to hair and scalp, massage for 5 minutes then leave it for one and a half hour then thoroughly rinse with warm water. I started doing this just last monday so I cannot give you any comment as of yet. But one thing is sure...the gel stinks! Yeah it stinks big time! But who cares if it has a foul odor as long as it works right? oh well, the things you do for beauty... But I'm pretty sure that it will give me a positive result. My best buddy Ann Ganda highly recommends this since her mom used to apply aloe gel. Her mom was diabetic and was almost bald, but thanks to the aloe magic, her hair managed to grow back. I'll take her word for it. Anywho....huge huge thanks to my good friend chime for the beautiful Aloe vera plant she gave me. Promise I'll take good care of it. =)

While I was doing my research, I found out that Aloe vera is not just for hair. It has a lot of benefits, majority of it is for treatment/healing. Others uses the Aloe Juice while others uses the Aloe Gel. Just to name a few, it soothes the skin and heals cracked skin, it can also be used as a moisturizer, relieves itching and irritated skin possible due to insect bites, burns and cuts. The aloe juice can help constipation problems, diarrhea and other digestive problems.
